We are thrilled to announce that the Sunshine Foundation of America (Fish Sunflowers) will be planting a sunflower field in honor of our MN veterans and their families this year! We are partnering with the Magnus Veterans Foundation located in Dayton, MN; an organization that promotes healing and restoration for veterans and their families, by providing the resources our veterans need to bridge the gap between service and home. We are so honored to have this opportunity and we hope that you are as excited as we are!
We will be planting over 12 acres of sunflowers on rolling hills, overlooking Diamond Lake and the view is going to absolutely take your breath away! We are anticipating sunflower blooms in early September, and the Magnus Veterans Foundation will be opening their grounds to you for your enjoyment. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 7th, 2024, and join us for the Magnus & Friends Festival and the first glimpse of the sunflower blooms! Sunday, September 8th will mark the opening of the Sunshine Foundation of America sunflower field. Stay tuned here and join our newsletter for updates along the way!
This will be our 8th year pursuing the mission to spread the sunshine and we’ve learned some valuable lessons and gained significant insight; leading us to the decision to focus on just one field for the season. We are giving our full support and effort to this field and we couldn't be more excited to see the harvest of goodness that is gleaned from this field.
Although the opening of the field is months away, there is so much to do and we need your help! This is so much more than a field of flowers, pretty scenery, or a photo opportunity. This is garden therapy: utilizing the beauty of the earth that God has given us to come together, to heal, to connect and to spread the sunshine. We hope that you will partner with us in bringing this field to life in honor of our veterans and their families, and in spreading the sunshine! Please help us kick off this season and the Sunshine Foundation of America (our registered non-profit organization). We hope you will join us on our journey!
